Worried Frank James Lampard before his EPL fixture against Fulham at the Craven Cottage expressed his believe in his squad to deliver on the day but at the same time feared his job would be on the line irrespective of the support he is gunning from the club owners.

Chelsea has lost more than enough to earn them a top four spot the competition keeps getting stiffer and tougher as teams put in their very best on any given day.

Lampard on the naming of his lineup against Fulham left Timo Werner and Kai Havertz on the bench although these two scored in the FA cup tie. He reiterated the pair needed rest and also to gain their confidence back to help the team back to winning ways.

Olivier Giroud spearheaded the Chelsea attack as Fulham held Chelsea to a goalless draw after the first half. Scott Packer and his men were very determined and played with maturity creating little error for Chelsea to capitalize on.

Fulham came out against Chelsea to pick maximum points as they are still in the relegation zone after 17 games played and two games in hand.

In the 44′, Antonee Robinson picked up a red card following a reckless challenge on Cesar Azpilicueta. Fulham played the entire second half with ten players but the deficit was not visible as they still pressed and looked the better side to carry the day until a ball came afloat into the path of Mason Mount which he blasted past Alphonse Areola.

Chelsea could have killed off the game as Timo Werner broke free from a long pass, his pace was too much for the Fulham defense to handle but his finishing got Fulham of the hook as his shot went wide.

It however ended 0-1 in favour of Chelsea who needed the point to boost their confidence in their upcoming fixtures.
