The Black Meteors of Ghana has left Ghana for Egypt to take part in this year’s U 23 African Nations Cup competition.
The U 23 team left the Kotoka International Airport for Cairo on Monday afternoon for the tournament which begins from November 8 to 22, 2019.
A 19-man contingent of the Black Meteors side together with their technical team led by head coach Ibrahim Tanko are expected to arrive in the North African country.
Strikers Ropapa Mnesah and Kwabena Owusu will join their colleagues in Egypt to complete the final 21 man squad.
Ghana Black Meteors is chasing an Olympic Games ticket for the first time in 15 years and coach Tanko believes the drought would end this year.
