Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak after suffering to maintain composure in the 2020/2021 Ghana premier league season brought in Coach Samuel Boadu and his assistant from Medeama SC who came and changed things around.
The duo after joining Accra Hearts of Oak won the Ghana Premier league trophy and the MTN FA cup for the club and in style. It was all joy as the club had yearned for the GPL title for a long time.
The beginning of the season has not been same for Coach Samuel Boadu who has has attributed the current form of his team to fatigue and urged fans to give them time as he knows how to turn things around.
In their struggle to turning things around, Accra Hearts of Oak lost a Ghana Premier league league against Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium after a controversial penalty was awarded Aduana in the die minutes of the game where they scored to share the spoils with the current champions.
After losing by 2-0 at Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, Mohammed Polo many thought would support the Phobia gaffer thought otherwise.
Polo opined, “Review Samuel Boadu’s work as soon as possible, if he cannot turn around the current run of poor form he should be sacked. If he can’t bounce back just give him the sack.”
His words got many people agitated knowing the league is still young with 4 games played.
Coach Samuel Boadu who has helped the club win the double reiterated, “Coaches are hired to be fired, if my job is not evident for you to see sack me, I am not afraid of being sacked.”
His comments has gotten many former Hearts of Oak players worried as they have cautioned Accra Hearts of Oak management to desist from any thing that would make Samuel Boadu leave the club as he has more to give.
