The African Boxing Inaugural Congress was successfully held on 28 December 2025 in a hybrid format at the Lamiridge Hotel Conference Hall, Lagos, Nigeria. with the participation of 20 National Boxing Federations.
Approvals of the Congress agenda include the previous minutes, Strategic Plan & Draft Statutes
Elections by acclamation saw President: Mr. Solomon Desmond Kargbo, Vice Presidents: Mr. Omonlei Yakubu and Mrs. Anta Gueye as well as Board Members Alaeldin Alfatih, Dirang Thipe, Kpako Jules, Awil Gele, Fuseni Dauda and Maria Obono.
Post-Congress Board Decisions:include Mr. Cyprien Tamo nominated as Secretary General
There was initial discussions on African Boxing logo and league structure as well as lunching.
The Congress marked a historic milestone for African Boxing and concluded with a Gala Night.
