Everton after match week 14 had managed to pick 15 points and were not looking so good going into their week 15 game against Arsenal.
The game that favoured Arsenal from the spectators view had a real game plan different from what has what was perceived.
The beginning of the first half saw Arsenal having lots of possession in the centre half of the pitch and were not threatening the goal of Everton enough to get the opener.
The game continued game until the 44th minute when Richarlison got an opener but ruled out for offside. Martin Oedegaard however broke the deadlock a minute after Everton’s goal was ruled out to give Arsenal the lead heading into the break.
The beginning of the second half followed the same pattern as Everton changed their game plan and started asking questions in the goal area of Arsenal.
Richarlison in the 58th minute got another opportunity to equalize for Everton but his second attend on goal was again ruled out for offside after a check with VAR.
With time far spent, Arsenal looked comfortable to be picking all three points at the Goodison Park but Everton kept looking for answers and found them in the 70th minutes onwards.
Richarlison who was frustrated after seeing his two goals ruled off by VAR got his equalizer for Everton in the 79th minute and VAR looked nowhere but to watch the goal recorded on the scoreboard.
Arteta on the touch lines after instructing his players to defend and hold their lines in their bit to share the spoils missed the opportunity as every green Demarai Grey in the 90+2 minutes of the game found the back of the net for Everton who had been relentless throughout the game.
His goal which proved to be enough to secure Everton all three points got Arteta lashing at his players for giving away the win to Everton so easily.
