Many football greats have ascended administration positions and the latest to join the long list is Samuel Eto’o Fils. The Cameroonian football icon has ensured his time on the field will not go to waste as he contested for the Cameroon Football Federation presidency where he has been given the nord.

Samuel Eto’o prior to contesting for the high office of FECAFOOT had contributed immensely to the growth of Cameroon football as he even ensured payment of players per diem, winning bonuses among other from his own purse.

Contesting for the high office for FECAFOOT seemed right and the delegates have shown massive support by voting for the prolific former striker.

After been elected President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o Fils stated, “I’ll be remembering today as one of the proudest moments of my life. I’m deeply grateful to be elected as the new president of Fecafoot. Every single vote represents the energy and ambition of our football family to take our beloved sport to a level we’ve never seen before. Lets get to work.”
