Dr. Coach Ofori Asare has constantly been on the SWAG radar when it comes to the MTN SWAG awards and again he was on the podium to pick up an award.
Dr. Coach Ofori Asare is the coach of the Ghana National Amateur Boxing team, the Black Bombers and also the founder of Wisdom Boxing Gym.
Leading many of Ghana’s amateur boxing to glory, Coach Dr. Ofori Asare has been revered as one of the best amateur boxing coaches in Ghana.
Dr. Asare led a three-man Ghana contingent to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and won the only medal for Ghana breaking a long and standing medal drought.
Samuel Takyi under his tutelage won the Bronze medal in boxing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Ghana to put Ghana back on the radar of the world and has since been mentioned for their achievements.
At the just ended MTN SWAG AWARDS, Coach Ofori Asare scoped two awards, The National Coach of the year and Dedication and Valour.
After mounting the podium twice, Coach Dr. Asare thanked all those who made it possible for him to receive the award and promised to put in more work as he prepares his team for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.
