Anfield after been breached has become a playground for many of the struggling teams in the English Premier league. After the unbeaten run at Anfleid was stopped by Burnley FC, Liverpool has been wobbly trying to put a team together to get to winning ways.
Liverpool Fc have been hot with one of the worst any manager would anticipate as injury has ousted his reliable defensive line including trusted Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. Their attacking line which came ablaze after Diogo Jota joined Liverpool has also gone lost as it has been very difficult for them to pick maximum points in most of their games.
Liverpool Fc after winning the English Premier League trophy after 30 years had one of the best teams in the EPL after going through seasons of seasoning to choose the right starting lineup. The start of the 2020/2021 EPL season got many rooting for Liverpool to have a smooth title defense but things quickly changed with injuries started to hinder their progress.
Since 2012, Liverpool Fc has never lost a back-to-back home games but all such records have been broken this season as Burnley FC ensured Liverpool cried at their own background and the next fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion was a gift as Liverpool lost again at home to Graham Potter’s men.
The devastation on the face of Jurgen Klopp could only be measured by his disappointment for not having an equalizer as Mohammed Salah had a glorious chance to put Liverpool on level terms but lofted the ball way over the goal.
With their title defense aspirations on the dip, Klopp has added some new limbs to his team to solidify his defense in the likes of Ben Davies from Preston and Ozan Kabak from Fc Schalke 04.
Liverpool now sits 4th on the EPL log with 40 points after 22 games, 7 points behind current leaders Manchester City who are in cruise control with 47 points after 21 games.
Although there is much to play for, it will be a tall order to climb for the current leaders with their lost in confidence and current league leaders to play next.
