Sam Allardyce after taking charge of newly promoted side West Bromwich Albion needed a game plan to ensure his side remains in the topflight since they have remained in the relegation zone from the start of the English Premier league.

With the recent unsets in football, West Bromwich Albion has recorded the most after picking a point against all the big teams in the premier league.

Their fixture against Manchester United was very critical as it could mean doom for both clubs, one in the pursuit of glory and the other in pursuit to remain in the English Premier league.

With little expectation by fans and commentators, West Bromwich Albion made a statement in the opening minutes of the game as Mbaye Diagne followed through a long pass from Conor Gallagher to find the back of the net in the 2’.

Manchester United were stunned and looked to the referee for a foul on Lindeloef as the striker climbed behind him to make contact with the ball for the opening goal but none of their foul call was heeded.

West Bromwich Albion after their opening goal sat back and soaked all the pressure Manchester United were piling on them with a collective defensive effort.

Marcus Rashford who was almost lost in the game started to find spaces at the right side of the West Bromwich Albion defense as Matheus Pereira was not up to the defensive duties leaving an opening for Rashford to put in some dangerous crosses.

Bruno Fernandez who has from joining Manchester United become their talisman had to take up the mantle to draw blood for the visitors as he lashed on a cross from Luke Shaw with a volley that found the back of the net in the 44’.

It was game on now, with United in the title chase, any slipup would be very costly to their ambitions of lifting the EPL trophy.

The second half was full of promise as Manchester United continued to press for a winner but the consistency in the West Bromwich Albion defense made it very difficult for them to break through.

Soaking all the pressure by Manchester United allowed the Buggies to catch the visitors on the break as Mbaye Diagne has two clear chances to put West Bromwich Albion in front but could not convert.

David De Gea made some excellent save to keep his side in the game in a one-on-one situation where his reflexes saw his saving the ball twice.

Sam Allardyce and his men settled for a hard earned point against Manchester United but still remains 19th on the league log picking 13 points after 24 games.
