The Ballon d’Or after been award to Lionel Messi for the seventh (7) time has sparked controversy among many players and managers.
The most coveted award which went to Lionel Messi has had people criticizing the organizing body of politicizing the awards.
Hansi Flick, former manager of Bayern Munich and current coach of the German national team added his bit after the award didn’t go to his former player as was expected by many.
“I don’t know how to start but I will definitely say my thoughts as a human being. I would congratulate Messi for his 7th ballon d’or.
But the truth is that, this guy Lewandowski deserve to win it more than anyone else. He ended up winning treble under me as a coach.

Helps his country to play in Euro, scored for them in their important matches, fought until the end but still couldn’t win the ballon d’or that he deserves.
It Messi wins it because he won COPA America, then i would say Jorginho also deserves it for winning Champions league, EURO cup and UEFA Super cup in the same season.”
