Legon Cities splashed more than enough prior to the start of the Ghana Premier league in their bid to give their fans delicious football but things seem not to be going their way at present.
With all the players at their disposal, one would rightly assume Legon Cities would be racking shoulders with the likes of Karela, Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak but they have not impressed.
The branding Grandmasters were hosted by Aduana Stars in the GPL week-9 fixture where winning maximum points would have pushed then out of relegation zone but Aduana were too strong an opponent for them on the day.
Yahaya Mohammed opened the score for Aduana Stars in the first 21’ which lasted until 2’ into the second half where Francis Addo equalized for the visitors.
Aduana Stars did not waste much time as they added a second in the 49’ and defended their lead with zeal until the final whistle.
This has got many wondering if coach Bashir Hayford is really ready for the Ghana Premier League or still require some assistance with regards to player reinforcement or technical assistance.
After nine games in the Ghana Premier league, Legon Cities have only managed 6 points out of 27 and time seems to be running out for him.
Their record signing and former Ghana Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan’s injury has also held back their play as he adds essence to the game during play.
