The most prestigious football award know to be the Ballon d’Or over the years has been shared most between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The afore mentioned names have been in the football scape over the decade and have proved over time that they are the best with regards to what they do.
Messi who was already a record 6th time Ballon d’Or winner was drafted alongside Robert Lewandowski, Jorginho, Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe among others.
The colourful awards night added to the already built record of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi after been voted winner of the 2021 Ballon d’Or.
Messi while on the podium to claim his award added,
“I would like to mention Robert, it’s been a real honour to compete with him. I think France Football should award you your 2020 Ballon d’Or, you deserve it.”
Many had anticipated the award would go to Robert Lewandowski but the Argentine football great beat the Polish international to the mirror glow award.
