The Ghana Water Polo (GWP) is set to organise water polo competition on January 18, 2025, at the University of Ghana, Legon.
The one-day event is to identify, groom and promote the sport ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, United States of America (USA).
In a release copied to the GNA Sports, Mr. Prince Asante Sefa-Boakye Organiser of the event said Awutu Winton Senior High School, the defending champions, would face competitors of Accra Art Centre, KNUST Club, Lake Bosomtwe Club and the Awutu Winton Senior High B club.
He said, the competition would open opportunities for young athletes, and first timers.
He said there would be medals and certificates to outstanding athletes and winners as well.
Mr. Tony Tonka Karaman from the United States of America would hold a Water Polo Referee and Clinics ahead of the 4th Annual Water Polo.
