The Black Stars of Ghana in their AFCON 2022 and preparations will be camping in Doha prior to the tournament proper. With many things to be put in place for a smooth tournament, the Management Committee of the Black Stars are scheduled to meet the Technical team on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Accra to give both teams a platform to deliberate on how the Black Stars will be in tune for victory come 2022.
The Management Committee and Technical team during the meeting will discuss a number of issues including the finalization of Ghana’s preparatory program for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the provisional squad list for the camping in Doha, and Coach Milovan Rajevac’s request for additional backroom staff. With Ghana in search of their next AFCON trophy and qualification to the FIFA world.
With the amount of funds injected into the preparation of the team, stakeholders and football administrations are of the believe that the Black Stars who have won the AFCON four times can end the 40-year wait since 1982 in Libya.
The team will open camp in Doha, Qatar on December 22, 2021, for a period of two weeks to prepare for the competition which kicks off on January 9, 2022.
Ghana in the AFCON group stages are paired with Morocco, Gabon, and Comoros in Group C and will play their opening match against the Atlas Lions of Morocco on January 10 before playing the Panthers of Gabon and the Coelacanths of Comoros on January 14 and 18 respectively.
The outcome after the scheduled meeting is perceived to will bring an impact on the performance of the management committee and the technical team as well as the overall performance of the team come 2022 during the AFCON in Cameroon.
