Accra Hearts of Oak coming from two defeats meant pressure both on their gaffer and entire playing body and losing their grasp on the title race. The game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities started at 1800hrs at the Accra Sports Stadium and Legon Cities made their presence felt early in the game.
Kosta Papic who has been very rotative with his squad has seen the consistency and confidence of his team dip with little to no urgency in both their attack and defensive lines.
Legon Cities who needed a win at all cost took only 10’ in the first half to open the scoring through Johan Attuquaye. The goal could be enough to win them all three points as they started defending and playing effectively and making little errors in vital areas.
The visitors held on to their lead till the break and came back more refreshed and ready to continue doing what they were doing in the first half but Hearts of Oak have always come into the second half of majority of their fixtures stronger than their opponents.
All looked lost for Kosta Papic and his men as time kept sweeping away with them making any significant moved towards goal.
In the 86’ the brilliance of Kwadwo Obeng for Accra Hearts of Oak made the entire difference as he powered one past Fatau Dauda to draw level for his side.
It was game on with 4’ and additional time to play, Accra Hearts of Oak had the chance to steal a late win but Legon Cities defended their post and settled for a point against Accra Hearts of Oak.
