Clamping down to player selections, the Serbian coach has been bashed for allowing the influence of the Ghana Football Association dictate his selection but the Serbian has held his ground to explain his selection is based on player performance and availability for the team.

After naming his twenty-eight (28) man squad for the Ethiopia clash in Johannesburg, the gaffer put the team to a test in a training game against Golden Kicks Fc.
The Black Stars who have new faces representing the national team for the first time gelled well on the pitch as they showed class while playing an average side.
Black Stars skipper, Andre Morgan Dede Ayew, Joseph Aidoo of Celta de Vigo in Spain, Sheriff Tiraspol players Edmund Addo among others were all involved as they trashed Golden Kicks Fc by 5-1.

After the friendly game, Milovan stated,
“we might have scored 5 goals but that is not the target for the training, we were building on teamwork and also to ensure the new players fit in well before the competition proper. Once the teamwork is built, scoring goals is not difficult because everyone will be putting in the effort to ensure victory.
I am happy that the team we selected are fitting in well and we will continue to give room for every players who qualifies to be in the team based on performance.”
As Ghana readies itself to battle out on a place in the FIFA world cup Qatar 2022, Ghana still needs to win convincingly against Ethiopia and hold South Africa at give them a chance.
