The Queen’s Baton Relay which has been scheduled for 72 countries including Ghana entered the shores of Ghana on the 25th of October 2021 and is scheduled to tour Ghana for three(3) days.

The Queens Baton Relay after been handed over to the President of the Republic of Ghana has been arranged for the scheduled bearers in Ghana.
Ace Sports Writer, host of Sports Highlights Show on GTV and the President of the Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG), Mr. Kwabena Yeboah mentioned as one of the Baton bearers did justice to the course during the outing.
Ghana’s all time top scorer and former captain to the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah ‘Baby Jet’ Gyan was present to take his place in the historic event. Asamoah Gyan has represented Ghana at the world stages and demonstrated his talent as a leader both on and off the pitch and expressed his satisfaction and joy knowing Ghana has another opportunity to go into another world games and win laurel.
Ghana sent a three-man boxing contingent to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics games in Japan. The contingents included Sulenana Tetteh, skipper of the Black Bombers and General captain of the entire Ghanaian contingent, Samed Shakul Bastie and Samuel ‘Golden Ring Warrior’ Takyi. With all boxers representing their country in their utmost strength, Samuel ‘Gold Ring Warrior’ Takyi was the only boxer to win Ghana a medal and was included to bare the Queen’s Baton Relay. Takyi who is likely to represent Ghana again at the Commonwealth games held firm the Baton to his chest with a glowing smile of fulfillment.
