Andre Onana who was top of Chelsea’s list of goalkeepers fell out as the English club diverted for Senegalese international Edouard Mendy. Onana had been in good shape and form for his club and country prior to his link to Chelsea but could not make the move during the transfer period.
UEFA on the 5th of January 2021 has released a statement indicting the Cameroonian of abusing a forbidden drug to athletes. Andre is said to have used some forbidden drugs to calm some pains he was feeling but that has got him into more than enough trouble.
UEFA banned the Ajax goalkeeper after they discovered a forbidden substance ‘Furisemide’ in a urine sample of Onana when tested October 2020.
This has caused many to wonder if the safest pair of hands for Ajax would follow up with an appeal to ensure his ban is either reduced or removed so he can continue doing what he loves doing best.
