Accra Hearts of Oak after match week-4 have not had it as they planned with the current champions drawing their first three matches and losing the last to Ashanti Gold at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The Continental masters have not had their game plan worked for them after their defeat in the CAF competition as they have given away possession cheaply once they have gone ahead in any game.
Against Ashanti Gold was a different ball game as the current champions were not given the room to operate as they have usually done to opponents.
The host played a tactically disciplined game and punished Accra Hearts of Oak when it mattered.
Holding Ashanti Gold to a goalless draw in the first half, Accra Hearts of Oak looked okay to pick a late winner until Yaw Annor opened the scoring for the hosts in seven (7) minutes after the resumption of the first half.
The Phobians played with intent to equalize but their efforts could not yield any positive outcome.
In the die minutes of the second half, Ashanti Gold were awarded a penalty and Abdul Salam took responsibility and slotted in his first and the second for Ashanti Gold.
There was no time for retribution from the visitors as they had to suffer their first defeat of the season in the hands of a stubborn Ashanti Gold.
