Ghanaian Boxer Seth Gyimah, known as Freezy Macbones has withdrawn from Ghana’s amateur squad for the upcoming Olympic Games qualifiers.
Macbones was a member of 12 Black Bombers who lost in Dakar, Senegal in their bid to seek qualifications for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in September 2023.
Macbones lost his middleweight bout to Senegalese opponent Seydou Konate to his dismay and it was thought that he would continue with the Bombers in the February 2024 qualifiers, however, has redrawned from the the team.
In a Tweet, he expressed his gratitude to the Ghana National Boxing Team for the rare chance he was offered and announced his decision to opt out of the qualifiers.
Freezy now intends focusing on grooming himself as a professional boxer in his base in UK.
