Krobea Kumasi Asante Kotoko has finally heard good news from the camp of the Ghana Football Association after their persistent request for a change in their match venue from the Accra Sports Stadium to the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
The porcupine warriors have over the time petitioned the Ghana Football Association in various forms regarding their home venue which moved from the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to the Accra Sports Stadium before the start of the Ghana Premier League.
Ahead of their CAF champions league fixture against Al Hilal in the knockout stages, Krobea Kumasi Asante Kotoko have had their request accepted and approved.
Their CAF CL fixture will be played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
This has brought quiet in the camp as it has ended all controversy that suggests the leadership of the Ghana Football Association were trying to sabotage the Ghana reps at the CAF champions league.
With CAF’s set date, Asante Kotoko will play host to Al Hilal Omdurman in the Champions League second preliminary round on December 22/23.
Both teams have met in the same competition where Kotoko could not progress after suffering a stunner away to Al Hilal and drawing to the same at home. This might be the time to remake and rewrite their revenge.
