The Executive Board of the Ghana Boxing Authority led by its President Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye presented the national boxing title belt to the Director of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter O. Twumasi.
The Ghana Boxing Authtority in their bid to strengthen boxing from the national level have acquired ten (10) new national belts which seasoned boxers from the various Gyms in Ghana will battle for.
With three of the titles already slated to be battled for on the 4th of December 2021, the leadership of GBA deemed it fit to make this presentation following the numerous assistance the outfit has received from the National Sports Authority.
After a warm reception at the premises of the NSA, Prof. Twumasi who was filled with excitement stated,
“it’s with great honour to receive a National Boxing Champion’s Belt from the leadership of the Ghana Boxing Authority in recognition of the NSA’s contribution to boxing sport development and promotion in the country.
It is always a joy to see that sports development is steadily growing and making an impact in the lives of people and we will as a body continue to support boxing as a sport anytime we are called on.”
