GHANA TO MISS MOHAMMED KUDUS WHO JETS OFF WITH AJAX TEAMMATES TO PORTUGAL

The Black Stars of Ghana after their last triumph in the African Cup of Nations have come close to ensuring they satisfy themselves and the country but were denied the opportunity on penalties by Cote d’Ivoire.

The TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon starts in six (6) days and Ghana ahead of the tournament have had their preparations in Doha where the FIFA world cup will be hosted.

Flying his way into the scene is Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian young football genius who has redefined football to his own understanding.

The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder was invited to join the senior national in camo at Doha as they prepared for the AFCON but seems Ghana will have to find their way around without the little playmakers.

Kudus has been out of action since November 2021 after picking up an injury during Ghana’s final Group G game against South Africa in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium.

With his presence very keen to the team and their anticipation of his joining camp, Mohammed Kudus has been spotted with his Ajax teammates readying themselves for their winter break camp in Portugal.

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has hinted it will be of Mohammed Kudus’s interest if he nurses his injury for a full comeback than to risk playing in a physically demanding competition after recording four (4) injuries in a year.
