Coach Dr. Ofori Asare in his bid to keeping his promise of producing many more boxing world title contenders and champions for Ghana has admitted many youth and juvenile boxing into the Wisdom Boxing gym and is gradually molding them into fine sportsmen and women, adding education to broaden the understanding of his team.
With many young and juvenile boxers at his disposal, Coach Dr. Ofori Asare has always gotten his boxers the chance to interact and learn new skills as the gym might not teach all there is to know about boxing.
Godfred Abbey, a young and promising juvenile boxers with the Wisdom Boxing gym gave a little information about himself to be shared with boxing lovers.
In his description, the young boxers said,
“My name is Godfred Abbey, I am in class 5 and I am fair in complexion .
I am a student at ‘New Order Preparatory School. My school can be located at Amamomo in Accra. The colours of my school is red and yellow.
I enjoy rice and stew best and I like to watch cartoons to relax my mind.
Boxing is my favourite sport. I am learning boxing because I wan to be a world champion in future.
Boxing will make my dream possible”.
Wisdom Boxing gym has over the years produced some of the fine boxers in Ghana as their founder and trainer Dr. Ofori Asare ensured his team won a medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games in Japan.
He lead Abdul Wahid Omar to win a medal at the 2014 commonwealth games in Scotland among other. With the gym doing a lot for the community and Ghana boxing in general, corporate and individual bodies are encouraged to troop in and watch the work the team are putting in to build future champions for Ghana and support them to glory.
