Ghana jubilating after CAF/FIFA approved the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as the stadium to host the Super Eagles of Nigeria has gotten many football lovers and pundits very surprised after various calls for renovations across the national stadiums.
Ghana officially presented the Cape Coast Stadium to host Nigeria in the Qatar FIFA World Cup play-off but after complains from Nigeria who have been ark rivals of the Black Stars in football, CAF after an investigation rejected the initial presented hosting ground.
With many calling out the head of the National Sports Authority and his executives for not doing due diligence with regards to allowing the hosting grounds for the crunch encounter host the 67th Independence day celebration where the pitch lost face after the event.
The NSA boss in a release states that the leadership of the Ghana Football Association headed by Mr. Okraku did not inform his outfit before submitting the Cape Coast Stadium to CAF.
After rumors of CAF asking the game to played on neutral grounds, the two sports governing bodies with the help of rumored persons submitted the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to CAF for review after which it was accepted as the new hosting grounds but with conditions to its acceptance.

Many have continued to question if indeed Ghana is a football nations following its inability to produce one standard and approved pitch without fault.
With renovation works ongoing at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, many have asked for the other stadiums to be attended to including the Essipong Stadium which has been abandoned after Ghana hosted the African Cup of Nations.
