After enduring the mockery and humiliation from the opening games of the Ghana premier league, Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak went back to the drawing board with a new tactician in the person of Coach Kosta Papic and came back stronger.
Hearts took on Dreams FC in the GPL Week-5 at the Accra Sports Stadium and they entered the pitch with determination and precision.
With Joseph Esso joining Dreams Fc from Accra Hearts of Oak, it was one of two ways to show his previous pay masters of what a mistake they have made by letting him go and on the other hand for Hearts to access the rights or wrongs in his exit.
It all started with Accra Hearts of Oak on high peddles and determined to get results to boost their chances from the early stages of the competition and it did not take long for Kosta Papic and his men to start making an impact on the night.
With Hearts of Oak in a hurry to record their first win for their campaign, Kojo Obeng Jr. in the 38’ opened the scoring to put the dreamers on edge.
It ended in a goal to nil for Accra Hearts of Oak after the first-half but the second half was extra promising as it took four minutes for Michelle Sarpong, one of the up and coming prodigies to add to the already inflicted wound of Dreams Fc. Michelle Sarpong scored the second for Accra Hearts of Oak on the 49’ and his second on the 89’.
Dreams Fc were already in ‘lala land’ as Accra Hearts of Oak tormented them with Patrick Razak on the wings, his pace and skill was too much for the dreamer to handle and they could not find an antidote to the fluidity of the Phobians on the night.
With three goal ahead, Dreams Fc are still dazzled and wondering whether to wake up or continue sleeping.
