The IOC President will be at the press conference at 11 a.m. CST on Friday 18 February, in the Main Press Conference Room in the Main Media Centre (MMC).

Media representatives who are unable to join in person will be able to watch the press conference live on YouTube.

The following day (19 February) will see day two of the 139th IOC Session being held at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC).

Due to the COVID-19 countermeasures, there will be no working area in the CNCC. Media representatives are therefore encouraged to work at the MMC. Owing to the restrictions, and in accordance with the Playbook rules, the IOC Session will also be closed to ENG cameras and photographers.

As was the case for the first day of the 139th IOC Session, the second day’s proceedings will be available to watch via closed circuit TV at the MMC and on the IOC Media YouTube channel.

NB: Following the decision to streamline the institutional meetings in Beijing due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the 139th IOC Session will conclude on 20 May 2022.

Please note that no permanent guest passes will be made available to media representatives for the OFH. This is due to restrictions on the numbers of people who can enter the hotel in order to minimize physical interaction and enable adequate physical distancing in compliance with the Beijing 2022 Playbooks.

The News Access Rules for Beijing 2022 can be found here. If you have any additional questions related to the News Access Rules, please contact newsaccessrules@olympic.org.

Please click here to download the Guidelines for the Editorial Use of the Olympic Properties by Media Organizations. These Guidelines provide guidance to bona fide media organizations that wish to use the Olympic Properties in relation to their editorial news reporting on the Olympic Games.

The Playbooks are the basis of our game plan to ensure the safety of all Olympic and Paralympic Games participants and the people of China. You can consult and download the Beijing 2022 Playbooks here.
