The Grusah boys as determined as they are did not get intimidated by the raging crowd at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as they carried on with their normal display of character and determination to ensure at the end of the match there would be something to jubilate about.
With their mission to climb to the top of the league log, King Faisal stun the porcupine warriors in the 4th minute which left the hosts with a lot of question marks.
Zubairu Ibrahim who opened the scoring for King Faisal in the 17th minute found the back of the net to record his brace for the afternoon.
The in-form striker kept pushing as he seemed to be looking for a hat-trick but could not find it in the first half. A moment in the game which almost marred the beauty was a penalty call for Kumasi Asante Kotoko that got many wondering what incidence the center referee was awarding the penalty to but but he quickly rescinded his decision and allowed the sweet pacey football to flow.

The second half started with a different approach as Kumasi Asante Kotoko pulled one back a minute after resumption. Mfegue Omgba who kept knocking on the goal of King Faisal finally got one back for the porcupine warriors.
72 minutes into the game, Mfegue Omgba equalized for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and just when it looked like they teams were going to settle for a draw, Zubairu Ibrahim netted his third and winner for King Faisal to take them top of the league with 13 points, equal with Kumasi Asante Kotoko but superior on goal difference.
