Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak are finding their groove and confidence in the Ghana Premier League following the inclusion of coach Kosta Papic. Players under the new manager have picked u the pace and confidence level over the weeks.
After picking a point in the GPL week-8, Kosta Papic promised his side will come back stronger and more prepared to give their fans an excellent performance and he lived up to his word as they face off Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium in the GPL W-9.
Ignatius Osei Fosu, the Techiman Eleven Wonders coach who had ample time to brag of his sides readiness to dismantle Hearts of Oak realized it was difficult than it looked.
On the night, Manf Umar who is gradually becoming the golden boy of Accra Hearts of Oak continued his fantastic run in confidence on the pitch. With Hearts pressing for a winner from the opening minutes, Manaf Umar tapped in a cross which deflected off the post onto the back of Eleven Wonders shot stopper tried to parry it to touch.
The continental club masters held on to their one goal lead until the end of half time. Kosta Papic and Ignatius Osei both has time to sike their players and encourage them to press higher and it paid off for one coach at the end of the day. Three minutes into the second half, Victor Aidoo who was bastardized for not been a Hearts of Oak material swung one outside the box to hand Hearts of Oak their second goal for the night.
Techiman Eleven Wonders pressed and made some attempts towards goal, but the ever-attentive Richmond Ayi responded to all such threats expertly to record yet another clean sheet and a win for his tea, at the end of the 90’.
