Ghana Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus is set to miss the double header friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda in Morocco after complaining of shoulder issues.
The midfielder was initialy invited by Otto Addo for the March international break but had to pull out and has been replaced by another player for these two games, confirming the midfielder’s absence.
According to reports, the midfielder is nursing a shoulder discomfort after last weekend’s Premier League game for West Ham against Aston Villa.”
The Ghanaian lasted the entirety of the game against Aston Villa at the London Stadium but is believed to have complained of pain after the match.
On West Ham’s website, the 23-year-old was not listed as one of the players to go on the international break and will now stay in London to recover.
During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Kudus missed the first game against Cape Verde due to a tight hamstring and was only deemed fit for the Egypt and Mozambique games.
In his absence, midfielders like Francis Abu and Forson Amankwah have been handed debut call-ups to the Black Stars.
Ghana will face Nigeria on March 22 before facing Uganda four days later, with both games in Marrakech, Morocco.
