Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Neymar Da Silva sustained a horrific ankle injury in their Ligue 1 fixture against Saint-Etienne.
Neymar after getting his goal disallowed in the early minutes of the game saw his side go down by a goal 18 minutes after Denis Bouanga opened the scoring for the home side.
The game remained same until the second half when Timothee Kolodziejczak was walked off the field after receiving a red card.
Paris Saint-Germain ended the first half with a goal down and worked their way back to winning the game but their joy was short lived after Neymar was stretchered off the field in anguish.
In the 88th minute a tackle on Neymar saw the Brazilian and Paris Saint-Germain playmaker spring his ankle. The scream and pain was clear with tears flowing from his eyes.
Neymar got the attention he needed from the on field medical staff which calmed his pain for the moment.
After been rushed off the field in a stretcher, Neymar was seen leaving the field in an ankle brace.
The medical team have stated that Neymar will have a full scan to ascertain the extent of his injury.
His teammates have since sent his messages wishing him speedy recovery from his injury.
