The Congo Association Football Federation has named former Democratic Republic of Congo international Ngoma Kondi Otis as the head coach of it’s national selection of home based players, the local Leopards.
The appointment, which was made public this Tuesday, April 26 takes immediate effect as Ngoma takes over from Florent Ibenge, who led the Leopards to a quarter final finish at last year’s African Nations Championship, CHAN in Cameroon.
According to the FECOFA statement, N’goma will be assisted by former midfielder Pamphile Mihayo and former goalkeeper Tokala Paulin among the new 21 technical crew members for the next two years.
N’goma, an experienced tactician in Congolese football has had successful spells at multiple local clubs, including giants Daring Club Motema Pembe and Renaissance of Congo.
Besides being a holder of the UEFA A license, the 59-year old has been coach of DR Congo’s Under-20 selection and deputy coach of the senior national team between 2011-2012.
He also had previous coaching the stints as assistant coach of various Congolese youth national teams.
