Enoch Danso, a Ghanaian player who has played for Berekum Arsenal, BA United and recently returned on a season long deal in Sri Lanka has hinted on what will make him the happiest footballer.
In an interview with Enoch Danso, the striker stated,
“Many players in Ghana idolize Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Mbappe, Neymar among others but I have always looked up to Asamoah Gyan since I started playing football. He has been an inspiration and his dedication on the field has always blown me away.
I am an upcoming footballer, a striker for that matter and knowing Asamoah Gyan to be Ghana’s leading goal scorer in history makes him my point of focus.
I have always admired how he combined football with singing and dancing, he makes it all look very easy.
I have been following him since seeing him on the pitch and the love has never dwindled. His selflessness and composure in the face of reject is a topic for another day.”
Many footballers have wished to meet the prolific Ghanaian striker whose record remains supreme for Ghana and Enoch Danso has declared same intention.
Following his progress from his time playing juvenile football, you could tell the hunger from his mode of play and this has been a factor that has already seen him remain in the playing force.
Enoch Danso who currently plays in the Sri Lanka Super League returned to Ghana after the end of their league season as has not stopped training as his aim is to reach the top.
In the interview, he continued;
“I am still working hard and hoping to play for one of our teams in Ghana. I have been here and showcased what I am made of. Sometimes, you just get feeling you need to do more and that is where I am headed. I know in due time many of our football lovers will see my on the TV and be hearing of me on the radio and wonder who is that kid playing like Asamoah Gyan?.
My greatest wish though is to meet the original ‘Baby Jet’ Asamoah Gyan one day. The picture I will snap with him will be framed and hanged where everyone can see it.
I would however like to use your platform to say thank you to Champions FC coach Sully for his tutelage. I will make his and Ghana proud soon.”
