Prior to the start of the Ghana Premier league, many Ghanaian musicians added their voice to help promote the game and bring back the love including Charles Nii Armah Mensah widely known as Shatta Wale, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie and many others.
The week-10 fixture between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars saw Michael Owusu Addo coming out of his shell to meet with the players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the break in their dressing room with what seemed to be a word of encouragement to the porcupine warriors.
With their display on the day, all looked to go in favour of Kotoko also with Sarkodie’s visit but Aduana had their own plan. Fabio Gama among other Kotoko players handled the game with ease and threatened the goal of Aduana but none was good enough to penetrate the goal of the visitor.
In the second half, Samuel Bio delivered a rocketing shoot which found its way at the back of the net and Kotoko could not revive themselves from the shock.
Their efforts to pull parity did not materialize as the referee played more than 8 additional minutes for the game to end with a lose for Kotoko at home.
