From their training at the Bukom Boxing Arena till the Olympic games in Tokyo, Samuel ‘Ring Warrior’ Takyi promised he was going to bring Ghana an Olympic medal and he lived up to expectation.
Samuel Takyi is a member of the Black Bombers who aims to turn pro in January 2022 after winning Ghana’s only medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and heeding to advice from former world title champions including Ike ‘Bazuka’ Quartey.
Samuel ‘Ring Warrior’ Takyi became the face of the Black Bombers on their return and has been lauded since by many institutions who followed his progress during the Tokyo games.
Samuel ‘Ring Warrior’ Takyi got nominated for the ‘Sports Personality of the year’ award for the SWAG night and his popularity and achievement for Ghana and himself could not have been crown any better as we end the year 2021.
Samuel Takyi went through to be crown as the ‘MTN SWAG SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR’ in a nomination of four other personalities.
