PSG Labs will focus on identifying and supporting innovative ideas to address the club’s challenges both on and off the pitch.
French club Paris Saint-Germain has launched a new platform to collaborate with startups and incubate ideas, with its first regional headquarters based in Doha.
The platform, called PSG Labs, was announced by the club’s Chief Innovation and Digital Officer, Jerry Newman, on the sidelines of the Web Summit Qatar 2025 on Tuesday.
“By launching this innovation lab in Doha, PSG is demonstrating the impact that visionary leadership and global collaboration can have in shaping the future of sports,” Newman said at the announcement.
PSG Labs will serve as the dedicated innovation engine directed towards identifying and supporting ideas that help in solving the club’s challenge both on and off the pitch, Newman went on to say.
The French club will look to further its partnership with top local and international startups to explore new advancements in sports technology and digital engagement from its new hub in Doha, he added.

In a statement, the club said it will consider local startups, scale-ups, entrepreneurs, and tech partners focused on leveraging cutting-edge research and technology to address the challenges PSG faces.
The lab will focus on three key areas: fan experience, stadium and training ground, as well as health and performance.
The regional hub in Doha will be key in identifying such ideas, fostering collaboration, and furthering the club’s ties with Qatar and the Middle Eastern market, Newman told Doha News.
Qatar’s sports investment vehicle, the Qatar Sports Investment, owns a majority stake in PSG and also operates out of Doha.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the long-standing Qatari president of the club, said that the new initiative is a “natural extension” of the club’s future-centric approach.
“We can accelerate game-changing ideas and further solidify our position as a global leader in innovation,” Al-Khelaifi said in a statement.
“With our first international PSG Lab in Doha, our goal is to drive innovation on a global scale and set new benchmarks for the entire sports industry.”
