For the first time in his ownership of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich has made a statement after dismissing a manager from the club.
Abramovich has always hinted on his good relationship with Frank Lampard during his time as a player at Chelsea and his achievements with the club are undoubted.
Chelsea and its board could not give Lampard the time he needed to put his team together after spending more than 200m pounds on signing. Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Malang Sarr are among the signings who were supposed to add to the speed and agility of Chelsea its been very difficult for the team to gel.
Malang Sarr was loaned after signing with Chelsea as Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have not found their confidence in their new environment.
After Chelsea officially announced the exit of manager James Frank Lampard, Roman Abramovich for the first-time broke silence after sacking a manager. In his remarks, the Chelsea owner had this to say
“This was a very difficult decision for the club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him.”
“He is a man of great integrity and has the highest of work ethics. However, under the current circumstances we believe it is best to change managers.”
“On behalf of everyone at the Club, the Board and personally, I would like to thank Frank for his work as Head Coach and wish him every success in the future. He is an important icon of this great cub and his status here remains undiminished. He will always be warmly welcomed back at Stamford Bridge.”
As much as the young lads will miss Lampard for his trust in their efforts, they also would hope the new coach would require their utmost services in his endeavors.
