Legon Cities after their slow start to the Ghana Premier league have received enormous criticisms from fans after the hefty cash splashed in player transfer prior to the start of the league.
Having been last on the league log after week-9, coach Bashir Hayford come under lots of pressure over his sides performance but he remained optimistic they will turn the tables around.
In the GPL Week-10 fixture against Ashanti Gold at the Accra Sports Stadium, many presumed the score line in favour of Ashanti Gold as they have been on the front foot. Coach Bach and his side had their own plan for the fixture. After conceding the first goal against Ashanti Gold, Legon Cities started to put up a performance they have been known for and that was a master class.
With all the devastation they have harboured through the GPL week1-9, Legon Cities unleashed their anger on innocent Ashanti Gold who has little idea as to why Legon Cities was punishing them with so much in a single game.
The branding Grandmasters turned the game around from a goal down to win by 5-2. After the GPL week-10 fixtures, Karela United still maintain top spot on the league log with 17 points after 9 games. As Accra Hearts of Oak play Berekum Chelsea, only a win for Hearts will keep Legon Cities out of the relegation zone.
