The Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana has over the years been a driving force in ensuring sports journalists come under one umbrella to enable them have a bigger say and has since been driven with the agenda to open its doors to all sports journalists across the country.
SWAG is affiliated to many other sports reporting associations including but not limited to AIPS. On the 19th of December 2020, SWAG held it final general meeting at the Media Centre at the Accra Sports Stadium. The meeting commences at 10:00am with the President, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, Br. Mr. Charles Osei Asibey(G.S) and many other member in attendance.
The meeting was in line with the associations mandate to outline its schedules and program outline for the year in review as well as the year ahead.
The meeting was graced by Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo Esq., a proud member of the association and the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association.
SWAG outlined means of bringing on board sports journalists who are yet to join the group as well as means of getting access to match venues.
