Following the incidence at Nsoatre during a Ghana premier league game between Nsoatreman Fc and Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sc which resulted in the fatal stabbing of a supporter, the Continental Club Master, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have made a joint petition to the Ghana football association to ensure such occurrence never repeats itself at any match centre in the country.
The Ghana Football Association whose main priority over the years has been to promote just the Ghana Black Stars rather that develop juvenile football has received lots of backlash as their input and prevention measures have been nothing but abysmal.
The beating of match officials, players and supporters should be dealt with from the root and not just with sanctions after the action has been perpetuated. Security which has being the main problem of many clubs during continue to persist as the association in charge of ensuring such measures are met before any game considers it the job of the teams.
The unfortunate event which happened during a GPL match between Nsoatreman Fc and Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sc leading to the death of a supporter has drawn many to the realisation that its time to sit up and hold the association by the balls to help prevent this barbaric act.
On a letter dated 5th February 2025, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sc jointly petitions the Ghana football Association amid security concerns and made other demands.

As this seems to be a subtle petition, the clubs will be meeting the GFA Executive Committee and hope many other important aspects of the game can be discussed and better actions put in place. Clubs have been crying about assistance, sponsorships, prize money amongst others.
With football fans in die anticipation of the measures to be put in place to ensure their safety when they go to enjoy and support their various clubs, it is also very important to ensure they remain calm and not engage in any banters that might result in violence or create any heated environment as football is a game that rather brings together than cause damage.
Hooliganism and vandalism at football centres must end now.
