The current UEFA champions Chelsea Fc under their current coach Thomas Tuchel have been playing some impressive football.
Winning the champions league final against a favourite Manchester City, Chelsea have been dominating play and showing character against tougher opponents and going all out when the need arise.
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea Fc in their fixture against struggling side Norwich City was another test for the German gaffer as Norwich on the buttom of the league table were going to put up a fight.
Things did not go as expected for the visitors at the Bridge as Chelsea without a striker went all out in the opening minutes looking for an opener.
It didn’t take long for the UEFA European champions to find the back of the net as Mason Mount opened the scoring in the 8′.
Hudson-Odoi who was in the best days could not be stopped on the flanks with his electric cuts and runs. 10′ after the first goal, Hudson-Odoi found the second for Chelsea Fc. The Pride of London were showing why they are the Euripean champions and their presence in the race to the EPL title.
Reece James and Ben Chilwell added the 3rd and 4th goals for Chelsea in the 42′ and 57′ respectively before M. Aaron’s own goal made it 5-0 for the blues.
Moson Mount wasn’t done for the night, Anthonio Rudiger the outstanding defender lashed on a lose ball that was parried away by Mathias Normann. Right after his supposed defense, the Blues started a protest for a handball against the defender which called for a VAR check.
The decision for a corner kick was overturned for a penalty as VAR revealed Mathias Normann handles the ball with his hand.
Mason Mount stepped forward to effect the penalty but his effort was saved by Tim Krul. The referee called for a retake as the Norwich shot stopper was off his lines before the ball was kicked.
Mount after a deep breathe took the second shot but this time the penalty expert could not put it out.
It was a hat trick for Mason Mount and 7goals for Chelsea Fc on the day.
Chelsea remain top of the league with two points adrift Manchester City. The outcome of the clash between Manchester United and Liverpool FC will not change the position of Chelsea Fc but the second and third position on the league log.
