To celebrate 40 years of the World Athletics Championships, World Athletics is calling on all fans of the sport to help choose the 40 greatest moments in the history of the event.
As the sport looks back on four decades of the global showpiece, World Athletics is asking the fans to decide which are the best World Championships moments of the past 40 years. By casting a vote, you can win a trip for two people – including flights, accommodation and tickets for the first weekend of action – to the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23 (19-27 August).
Simply choose your 10 favourite moments from both the women’s and men’s long lists. Be sure to read the long lists in full before making your selections, as you’ll only be able to vote once. One lucky winner for the trip to Budapest will then be drawn at random.
World Athletics will reveal the top 40 moments – as decided by the fans – in the countdown to the World Championships in Budapest.
Voting opens today (11 April) and will be open for four weeks, closing at midnight (CET) on 9 May.
